There are many projects to get done during the holiday. There are big meals to prepare, the tree to trim, the gifts to wrap and the house to decorate, but creating Christmas craft projects might be the ones you enjoy the most. It's a personal way for you to celebrate the holiday without all the outside demands. You pick a Christmas craft project, set the pace and let your inner artist take over.
Finding Christmas craft projects to work on is a process that can be almost as enjoyable as completing the crafts themselves. The process allows you to feel out your talents inner and potential hobbies. Perhaps you would relax the most with a pair of knitting needles working on a hat for someone special, or maybe instead you'd rather work with the kids and create Christmas themed hand-painted sun catchers. Finding Christmas craft projects to get interested in can take trial and error, but finding out your likes and dislikes is worth the time it takes.
Usually I start at a Christmas craft supplies store, even if it's just to walk around to see where I'm most comfortable. Beading, painting, knitting, silk floral there are many departments. If after walking the stores and looking through craft books you still are unsure what Christmas craft project to do, either pick up a few or better yet go home and create a pro/con list.

Once you have created your first project, you should be able to tell if it were something you would want to do again in the future. I find that keeping a craft journal, of what I liked and disliked about my projects, is beneficial to me.
